Bali chosen as the host city for 13th ASFAA 2014 CONGRESS

The 21st ASFAA Extraordinary General Assembly was successfully concluded on 23 October 2013 at the occasion of the 23rd TAFISA World Congress in Enschede, the Netherlands and with the consensus of all the members present, Bali Indonesia was chosen as the host city for the 13th ASFAA 2014 CONGRESS.
The 13th ASFAA 2014 CONGRESS which will be held next year tentatively between 28 August and 2 September will be hosted by the newly joined ASFAA member the Asiana Kungfu, Dragon, & Lion Dance (Dragon Boat) Federation and headed by its Chairman Dr. Nurdin Purnomo. The congress will be centred on the theme “Sport for All and Tourism” which is considered ideally fitting to the destination, as one the one of the most popular tourist destinations in Asia and in particular Indonesia is also to host the TAFISA 2016 World Traditional Sports & Games Festival.
ASFAA is also proud to announce that during the TAFISA General Assembly held also in Enschede, the Netherlands on 25 October 2013, the ASFAA Founding and Honorary President Prof. Dr. Ju-Ho Chang and ASFAA Honorary President Mr. Feng Jianzhong were successfully elected as President and Vice President of TAFISA, respectively. The active involvement of Asia in the global Sport for all movement is clearly reflected in the new composition of TAFISA Board of Directors with a total of 5 members from the Asia and Oceania elected to the TAFISA Board (see below).
