Infinitus 2010 World Walking Day (Guangzhou) Launched with Success

Infinitus 2010 World Walking Day (Guangzhou), sponsored by All-China Sports Federation (ACSF) and Trim and Fitness International Sport for All Association (TAFISA), with Infinitus (China) as the exclusive partner, was launched in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center on 10 July. Mr. Chen Guo'an, Deputy Director of Standing Committee of Guangzhou People's Congress, Ms. Liu Ping, Deputy Director of Guangzhou Political Consultative Conference, Mr. Liu Jiangnan, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of Sport Administration of Guangzhou, Mr. Harry Yeung, Senior Vice President of LKK Health Products Group (LKKHPG for short), Mr. Lam Yu, Senior Vice President of LKKHPG and Managing Director of Infinitus (China) Co., Ltd. and Ms. Xie Xingfang, promotion ambassador of Asian Games Volunteers and world badminton champion attended.

Ms. Xie Xingfang made a statement to propose healthy walking; Mr. Liu Jiangnan and Mr. Harry Yeung delivered speeches respectively and started the Infinitus 2010 World Walking Day (Guangzhou).

Over 5000 citizens, joined by Asian Games volunteers, finished all the 6 kilometers in spite of the burning sun, promoted the theme of the event, "Enjoy Walking, Enjoy Fitness" in deed.

In response to a purpose of "World Walking Day", "encouraging the disabled to walk", Infinitus (China) invited 45 children from Guangzhou Children’s Social Welfare Home to join the event. With the assistance of 65 volunteers composed of Infinitus staff, the children finished walking and received the certificate from Mr. Harry Yeung. By taking part in the event, they are expected to have a chance to know the world and to be cared.

Since its launch in Beijing this May, this is the third separate event of "Infinitus 2010 World Walking Day (China)" following to Qingdao and Shenyang which can promote walking as a healthy exercise. Later on, walking events will also take place in Wuhan, Chengdu and Shanghai.

Many local media, including Guangzhou Daily, Yangcheng Evening News, Southern Metropolis Daily, Guangzhou TV, Guangdong TV and Southern TV covered the event.
