Physical Fitness Program Continues in Qatar

The annual physical fitness and health program organized by the Sports for All Committee of Qatar Olympic Committee continued at Doha Corniche on November 16, 2009.Mr. Hamad Al Hamadi, Head of Sport Activities Unit in QOC Sport Affairs Department attended the second day's activities that witnessed participation of about 130 pupils.The primary objective of the QOC drive is to serve individuals and families through sport, by making sport an integral part of their daily life and reinforcing relations between the governing sport body and the society. The program includes series of fitness and medical checks, by using BMI indicator and other vital examinations to measure physical strength, weight, height, body mass, and other defects. An elite number of medical specialists and physicians in charge of the program are set to conduct tests of some common diseases, including diabetics, blood pressure and cardiology. The organizers handed over cards of physical fitness tests to participants at the program.
