GCC Sport for All committee meeting held in Qatar

Under the patronage of Qatar Olympic Committee, the GCC Sport for All Committee members held their 19th meeting at Grand Regency hotel in Doha on June 26, 2010.   Mr. Issa  Mohammed Abdulraheem, the president of International Sport For All Association and head of GCC Sport For All Committee (Bahrain), HE Royal prince, Tilal bin Bandar Al Saoud (KSA)  the representative of GCC Secretariat General, alongside other committee members, including Dr. Jassim Mirza, head of planning and development committee (UAE), Mr. Khaleel Ibrahim Al Jaber, head of Qatar Sport For All Committee,  Mohammed Abdulrahman (KSA), Jihad Abdullah Al Al Sheikh (Oman) , Musaad Saoud Al Karbani (Kuwait) and Sameer Abdulgadir (Bahrain) attended the productive meeting.   At this meeting, members of the committee reviewed the decisions taken by the Excellencies GCC's ministers of youth and sport regarding the approval on the committee's plans and programs for the term 2010 - 2012.   The participants also approved the minutes of the 18th meeting of the committee that took place in Dammam city, KSA , ratified the financial report 2010 and shed light on the recommendations of the 2rd meeting of planning and development committee.   A number of recommendations were submitted during this meeting, includes (A)  issuance of GCC sport for all committee's magazine in UAE, (B) the coordination between GCC Sport for All Committee and Arab Sport for All Committee to spread the idea among societies and individuals.   Mr. Abdulraheem appreciated the QOC's hospitality and nice reception for the committee members, as he described Qatar as pioneer nation in the development of GCC Sport For All.  

On other hands, Mr. Khaleel Ibrahim Al Jaber, reaffirmed that QOC is proud to host this productive meeting and wished that the above mentioned recommendations will serve the sport for all in GCC and worldwide.
